Not all plants are the same.
Ornamentals come in all shapes and sizes, with many different ways to be cared for.
That’s why our Tree & Shrub Care Program is tailored to the individual needs of your unique plant life.
Our Tree & Shrub Care Department is headed by our International Society of Arborculture Certified Arborist and supported by our New Jersey Licensed Tree Expert. Through experience, they’ve created a 6-step program that maximizes tree and shrub growth while minimizing problems like insects and nutrient deficiency.
Here’s Our 6-Step Program
Spring Dormant Oil Application
Kills overwintering insects.
Spring Root Zone Fertilization
Injected directly into the roots system, it provides ornamentals with the necessary nutrients in order to thrive.
Spring Foliage Protection
Helps control pests that attack landscape ornamentals.
Early Summer Foliage Protection
Identify areas of possible insect infestations and reduce and repel. Continued treatment controls early summer pests.
Summer Foliage Protection
Keeps repelling damaging pests and further reduces stress and prevents damage during the time of year that insects become most active.
Late Season Foliage Protection
The final visit includes the monitoring and treatment of common, late-season pests, and helps prepare the trees for the upcoming winter season. Horticultural oil applications and beneficial fertilizers may also be applied at this time.
How It Works
In the spring, we apply a dormant oil application that prevents and repels overwintering insects. These are known to lay their eggs on plant parts and trees in order to survive the winter, but usually don’t become active until the warmer months of late spring/early summer. Our application reduces their population.
We use Root Zone Fertilization, an essential part of the program that provides ornamentals with the necessary nutrients that are lacking in the landscape to reduce stress and maintain plant vitality. The fertilizer is injected straight into the root zone.
We then apply Foliage Protection over four visits through the fall. Anti-desiccants are applied to certain trees to help protect them through the winter. In the winter, the ground freezes, which doesn’t allow the roots to absorb water like they should. The anti-desiccant spray locks in moisture, preventing dehydration and boosting the tree’s health and longevity over the long winter months.
We take pride in our work. So much so that, if we didn’t have to eat, we think we could survive on pride alone. That’s why we offer our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.
If you aren’t happy with how your ornamentals look (if you notice insects on them, if they aren’t as healthy as you think they should be, if the groundhog from Caddy Shack has dug up all the fertilizer), we’ll return to take care of them for FREE.
In this business, you’re only as good as your work. And we’re proud to say that ours is the best.
